About us

The Palestinian Insurance Federation is a non-profit organization established in the late 1990s. It serves as the official representative body for all insurance companies operating in Palestine. The Federation was formally recognized under the Palestinian Insurance Law No. 20 of 2005, pursuant to Article 131, Chapter Fifteen.

The Federation is dedicated to promoting the insurance industry in Palestine and aims to raise public awareness about the importance of insurance. It also strives to safeguard the interests of its members by fostering cooperation with official authorities and stakeholders in the insurance sector—locally, regionally, and internationally—in alignment with the public interest and in support of the national economy.

Our Objectives

The Palestinian Insurance Federation is committed to upholding the principles and standards of professional insurance practice, empowering its member companies to adhere to these foundations in order to establish a strong culture of ethics and professionalism within the industry. The Federation also focuses on promoting public awareness of insurance and enhancing the professional standards across the sector.

It works to develop the professional framework for all types of insurance contracts, and it plays a key role in resolving shared and recoverable claims, co-insurance matters, and in establishing effective mechanisms for inter-company account settlements.

The Federation places great importance on the formation of investigative and arbitration committees, defining their scientific foundations and implementation procedures. It also seeks to build trust in the insurance industry through cooperation and coordination with relevant regulatory bodies and stakeholders—both locally and internationally.

Furthermore, the Federation aspires to organize professional seminars and conferences, conduct academic research, and publish regular reports and statistical bulletins containing essential data and insights on the Palestinian insurance market. These efforts aim to support the development of the sector. The Federation also actively contributes to the drafting of insurance-related legislation in collaboration with official authorities, ensuring a stable and progressive insurance environment.

Lastly, the Federation strives to strengthen ties with Arab, regional, and international insurance federations by organizing technical, administrative, legal, and financial meetings in Palestine.
