Palestinian Insurance Federation Participates in Specialized Training Program in Cairo
The Palestinian Federation of Insurance Companies (PFIC) participated in the specialized training program W02 – Award in General Insurance, held in Cairo, Egypt, from July 25 to 31, 2026, under the supervision of trainer Mostafa Hassan, with the participation of a distinguished group of professionals from the insurance sector.
The program aimed to enhance the professional competencies and technical and legal knowledge of insurance practitioners through a comprehensive curriculum covering the fundamentals of insurance and risk management, the structure of the insurance market, the legal principles governing insurance contracts, the regulatory and legislative framework, principles of corporate governance and internal control, as well as professional ethics. The program contributes to strengthening participants' capabilities and promoting best professional practices within the insurance sector.
The training program was attended by the Federation's Secretary General, Mr. Kaed Maari, along with Mr. Adel Assaf and Mr. Othman Al-Shaibi, representing Palestine Insurance Company; Mr. Mohammad Ammous, representing Tamkeen Insurance Company; Mr. Tareq Zaid, representing Trust International Insurance Company; Mr. Ghaleb Abdul Dayem, representing Palestinian Takaful Insurance Company; Mr. Omar Al-Sharafa, representing Al Mashreq Insurance Company; and Mr. Mureed Sharab, Mr. Nael Al-Tayeb, and Mr. Mahmoud Al-Ghazali, representing National Insurance Group Company.
The Federation affirmed that its participation reflects its ongoing commitment to developing the capabilities of professionals working in the insurance sector, enhancing their professional competencies, and keeping pace with the latest developments and best practices in the insurance industry. These efforts contribute to advancing the performance of the Palestinian insurance market and improving the quality of services provided to policyholders.
