Launch of the National Electronic Accident Sketch System (E-KROKA) to Modernize Traffic Accident Management in Palestine
Ramallah – The national Electronic Accident Sketch System (E-KROKA) was officially launched today, Monday, during a formal ceremony that included the signing of a partnership agreement between the relevant stakeholders.
The launch ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammad Al-Ahmad, Minister of Transport and Communications; Major General Allam Al-Saqqa, Director General of the Police; Mr. Ammar Al-Aker, Chairman of the Board of the Palestine Capital Market Authority; Mr. Anwar Al-Shanti, Chairman of the Board of the Palestinian Federation of Insurance Companies; Federation Board members Mr. Mohammad Rimawi, Mr. Ayman Al-Sabah, Mr. Abdul Hakim Qassem, Mr. Nihad Asaad, Mr. Riyad Al-Atrash, and Mr. Ahmad Mashasha; Mr. Bashar Al-Saifi, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Palestinian Road Accident Victims Compensation Fund; as well as a number of official figures and representatives from the insurance sector and financial institutions.
The launch of this project aligns with the Palestinian government's vision for digital transformation and good governance, as well as its efforts to modernize public services to deliver greater speed, accuracy, and efficiency for citizens. The system is designed to enhance the management of traffic accidents and safeguard the rights of insurance policyholders by providing a secure, integrated electronic platform that enables the immediate reporting and documentation of accidents. It links vehicle registration, licensing, insurance, and police data into a unified electronic accident report, thereby improving procedural efficiency, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data, and accelerating the exchange of information among the relevant authorities. It also contributes to advancing traffic accident management through more efficient and transparent processes.
The system represents a significant milestone in the country's digital transformation journey. It supports the police in documenting accidents on-site while reducing opportunities for fraud and forgery. In addition, it accelerates the compensation process, protects citizens' rights, and establishes a comprehensive national database to support the development of traffic and economic policies.
At the same time, the system places citizens at the center of its priorities by streamlining accident-handling procedures and providing accurate, reliable information to all parties involved. This reduces the time and effort required, minimizes disputes, speeds up compensation claims, and enhances the overall quality of services provided to the public.
The launch event also featured a promotional video introducing the system, highlighting its objectives, operational mechanism, and key features. This was followed by the signing of the partnership agreement and the official announcement of the system's launch, reaffirming the commitment of the partner institutions to continue improving public services, strengthening institutional integration, and leveraging modern technology to serve the national economy and the public interest.
