Participating in the visit were Mr. Buraq Al-Nabulsi, Director General of the Authority; Mr. Amjad Qabha, Director General of Insurance Supervision; Mr. Nihad Asaad, Board Member of the Palestinian Insurance Federation and General Manager of Al Mashreq Insurance Company; Mr. Ayman Al-Sabah, Board Member and Secretary of the Palestinian Insurance Federation and General Manager of Al Ahliyya Group Insurance Company; Brigadier Mansour Daraghmeh, Director of the Traffic Department; and Mr. Mahmoud Sharqieh, Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at the Authority. The visit also included the participation of Mr. Amjad Abdel Haq, Traffic Accident Inspector and representative of the Traffic Department, and Mr. Kaid Maari, Secretary General of the Palestinian Insurance Federation.
The visit included a number of important meetings with the Central Bank of Jordan and the Jordan Insurance Federation, attended by Eng. Majed Smirat, Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors; Mr. Reda Dahbour, Board Member; Dr. Moayad Al-Kloub, Chief Executive Officer; along with members of the Federation’s executive management, in addition to representatives from the Public Security Directorate.
On the sidelines of the visit, an extensive working meeting was held between representatives of the Jordanian and Palestinian insurance markets. During the meeting, representatives of the Jordanian market introduced the role of the Jordan Insurance Federation and the services it provides to member insurance companies, in addition to its most prominent strategic projects that have contributed to a qualitative transformation in the insurance sector in the Kingdom. These projects included the electronic issuance system, the Electronic Traffic Sketch System (E-Kroka), as well as electronic linkage and data exchange projects with official entities adopted by the Federation, including the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department, the Ministry of Health, and the Jordan Customs Department, all aimed at serving insurance companies, saving time and effort, and enhancing operational efficiency.
The meeting also highlighted the Jordan Insurance Federation’s experience in specialized insurance training, the development of training projects over recent years, and the provision of free training opportunities for insurance companies. In addition, successful experiences in organizing insurance conferences and specialized seminars were discussed, with the aim of enhancing professional knowledge and exchanging expertise within the sector. Preparations completed by the Federation to host the 35th General Arab Insurance Federation Conference (GAIF35), which will be hosted by the Jordanian insurance market from October 4 to 7, 2026, in the Dead Sea area, were also presented.
Furthermore, the delegation was extensively briefed on the Jordanian experience in issuing electronic traffic accident reports through the Electronic Traffic Sketch System, which represented the main focus of the visit. The presentation covered the stages of developing and implementing the project in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, as well as the key achievements realized, including accelerating compensation procedures, improving the accuracy of compensation calculations and technical reserves, and creating an integrated database used in underwriting, claims management, market analysis, and studying traffic conditions in the Kingdom.
The Palestinian delegation expressed its appreciation for the cooperation and support demonstrated by representatives of the Jordan Insurance Federation, the Central Bank of Jordan, and the Public Security Directorate. They also expressed pride in the Jordanian achievements accomplished by the Jordanian insurance market through the projects implemented for the sector, particularly in the field of insurance sector development.
At the conclusion of the visit, representatives of the Palestinian delegation presented commemorative gifts reflecting Palestinian heritage and culture to the Jordanian partner entities, as an expression of gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made to ensure the success of the visit and for sharing Jordan’s expertise and experiences with the Palestinian delegation.
