Ramallah – The Palestinian Insurance Companies federation participated in an expanded meeting represented by its Secretary General, Mr. Kaid Maari. The meeting was chaired by Mohammad Al‑Ahmad, Minister of Transport and Communications, with the participation of several institutions including the Municipal Development and Lending Fund, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, the Ministry of Local Government, and the Traffic Police. The meeting aimed to discuss the development of a plan to address what are known as “black spots” on roads—areas where traffic accidents frequently occur.
This meeting comes as part of joint efforts aimed at enhancing road safety and reducing traffic accidents by identifying the most dangerous locations and working to address them through cooperation among the relevant authorities.
The Minister of Transport and Communications affirmed that the preparation of this plan comes in line with the directives of the Prime Minister and aims to strengthen cooperation and integration among the various relevant institutions to address the causes of traffic accidents and mitigate their impacts.
For their part, the participants, including the Palestinian Insurance Companies Union, emphasized the importance of joint work and continuous coordination among all concerned parties to ensure the effective implementation of the plan, contributing to improving road safety and enhancing the security and safety of all road users.
