Palestinian Insurance Federation Discusses Strengthening Joint Cooperation with the Minister of Health
Ramallah – A delegation from the Palestinian Insurance Federation, headed by the Chairman of the Board Mr. Anwar Al-Shanati, met with the Minister of Health Dr. Majed Abu Ramadan on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Ministry of Health headquarters in Ramallah, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides, particularly regarding matters related to the work of the medical committees.
The Federation’s delegation included Board Members Mr. Ayman Al-Sabah, Mr. Nihad Asaad, Mr. Ahmad Mushashaa, Mr. Mohammad Al-Rimawi, Mr. Alaa Al-Safi, in addition to the Secretary General of the Federation, Mr. Kaed Maari.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of developing coordination and integration mechanisms between the Ministry of Health and the insurance sector, in a way that contributes to organizing the work related to medical committees and ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, fairness, and transparency in the procedures followed, while safeguarding citizens’ rights and strengthening confidence in the services provided.
Dr. Abu Ramadan stressed the Ministry of Health’s commitment to maintaining constructive dialogue with various partners, stemming from its responsibility to regulate the health sector and strengthen partnerships with national institutions in a way that serves the public interest and enhances the quality of related health and administrative services.
For his part, the Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors, Mr. Anwar Al-Shanati, affirmed the Federation’s readiness to strengthen frameworks of cooperation with the Ministry of Health and to develop joint working mechanisms that would help facilitate procedures, achieve fairness, and ensure the rights of all parties while serving citizens.
The meeting was also attended on behalf of the Ministry of Health by Ms. Arwa Al-Tamimi, Head of the Legal Affairs Unit; Dr. Wisam Sbeihat, Head of the Higher Medical Committee; and Mr. Anas Al-Deek, Head of the Public Relations and Media Unit.
