The Palestinian Insurance Companies Federation praised the efforts of the Nablus Governorate Police and the General Directorate of Traffic Police in enhancing traffic safety and maintaining public order in the governorate.
This came during a visit by the Federation’s President, Mr. Anwar Al-Shanti, accompanied by the Federation’s Secretary-General, Mr. Kaed Maari, along with a delegation representing insurance companies, to the Nablus Police Directorate. The delegation was received by Brigadier Lawyer Issa Abu Allan, Director of Nablus Police, Brigadier Mansour Daraghmeh, Director of the General Directorate of Traffic Police, Colonel Samer Al-Zaitawi, Director of the Community Policing and Media Department, Major Saleh Awad, Head of the Accidents Department, and Engineer Hossam Al-Qadah.
During the meeting, Brigadier Abu Allan stressed the importance of integration and partnership with the insurance sector in protecting lives and property, and in promoting a culture of traffic compliance. He also referred to a project being implemented by Nablus Police to establish a traffic information room by linking the cameras deployed throughout the city, with the aim of improving traffic management and ensuring rapid response to incidents.
For his part, Mr. Al-Shanti commended the ongoing cooperation with the Police, praising the field measures implemented on the ground, which contribute to reducing traffic accidents and enhancing public trust in the police force.
