The Palestinian Insurance Federation and Birzeit University held a meeting yesterday, Wednesday, to discuss avenues of cooperation and strengthen the partnership between the two sides in academic and training fields related to insurance and the Palestinian financial sector.
The meeting addressed prospects for developing practical programs for students of the university within the insurance companies that are members of the Federation, as well as organizing workshops and specialized lectures delivered by sector experts. The discussion also included the possibility of integrating practical concepts and skills into academic curricula to align with the needs of the insurance labor market.
Mr. Anwar Al-Shanti, Chairman of the Palestinian Insurance Federation, affirmed that this cooperation falls within the Federation’s vision to support applied education and enable students to acquire practical experience that contributes to enhancing their professional readiness.
For his part, Dr. Tarek Sadiq, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Birzeit University, praised this initiative, emphasizing the importance of integrating efforts between higher education institutions and the private sector in preparing national competencies and qualifying them for the labor market.
