According to the Public Relations and Media Department of the Police, the opening ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Palestine Broadcasting Corporation, under the patronage and presence of several dignitaries and officials, including:

Stated that this year’s theme, “Traffic Rules… A Civilized Behavior,” highlights the importance of adhering to the law as a moral and civil value.
He emphasized that road safety is a shared responsibility for all road users and called for cooperation with traffic police to create a safer traffic environment.
He praised the efforts of police officers in raising traffic awareness among school students in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and partners from both the public and private sectors.
Highlighted that the Public Prosecution, in partnership with the police, works to ensure road safety.
He stressed that traffic safety is a collective responsibility and called for intensified efforts to reduce road accidents and uphold the rule of law.
Expressed the Ministry of Education’s pride in its national partnership with various institutions.
He emphasized the Ministry’s role in promoting traffic awareness among students and their families through educational and awareness programs.
Stated that the Ministry of Public Works, in cooperation with relevant institutions, is working to improve road infrastructure to create safer traffic environments.
Described the week as a true embodiment of social and national responsibility, affirming the insurance sector’s role in supporting road safety initiatives.
Stressed the importance of reminding drivers of the need to respect traffic laws and avoid dangerous violations that often lead to fatal accidents.
He called for supporting the traffic police by enhancing staffing and equipment and urged local municipalities to improve road conditions.
He also highlighted the role of media in educating the public and suggested implementing a home-delivered violation notice system to ensure compliance.
