Established: 2018
Number of Branches and Offices: 19
About the Company:
Tamkeen Islamic Insurance Company (TPIC) was founded in 2018 as a public limited shareholding company, initiated by a group of Palestinian businesspeople and several public institutions and companies, most notably:
The Orphans’ Fund Management and Development Foundation
The Palestinian Pension Agency
Alongside other notable individuals, economic figures, and organizations.
The founders strongly believed in the necessity of establishing another Islamic insurance provider in Palestine, particularly due to the increasing demand from segments of the population that avoid conventional insurance due to religious considerations. The Islamic insurance sector is one of the fastest-growing and most stable across the Arab and Islamic world.
TPIC was registered with the Palestinian Ministry of National Economy under registration number 562601476 in 2017 (1438 AH) and was officially licensed by the Palestine Capital Market Authority in 2018. The company's launch was formally announced in May 2018, with services provided through a growing network of branches, offices, and agents throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Despite being a relatively young company, TPIC has achieved remarkable success. In 2021, its shares were listed on the Palestine Exchange (PEX) under the ticker symbol TPIC, marking a milestone in transparency, investor confidence, and regulatory oversight. As of 2025, the company’s capital reached (13,497,120) USD , and it has captured over 10% of the market share within just seven years. Today, TPIC operates more than 33 points of sale, serving diverse segments of Palestinian society.
