General Manager – Al-Mashreq Insurance

Mr. As’ad began his professional journey in the insurance sector over 30 years ago at the Arab Insurance Corporation. He steadily advanced through various positions until he was appointed Secretary General of the Palestinian Insurance Federation in 2008. His extensive experience and passion for the profession contributed to a major transformation in the Federation’s operations, culminating in the organization of the First and Second Palestine Insurance Conferences. These events attracted numerous participants from fellow Arab countries, leading to the establishment of strategic relationships with various partner sectors across the Arab world and many other countries.

Mr. As’ad has served on numerous boards, including the Palestinian Road Accident Victims Compensation Fund.

He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration as well as a second degree in Educational Administration.

Mr. As’ad has been serving as the General Manager of Al-Mashreq Insurance since 2013. Under the guidance of the company’s Board of Directors and its CEO, the team continues to work diligently to adopt the most modern and effective practices to advance the services offered by the company and its subsidiaries to its clients and policyholders. The company boasts a wide insurance portfolio that includes some of the largest Palestinian firms. It also maintains a strong solvency margin, robust reinsurance programs with major global reinsurers, and solid reserves that strengthen the company’s position and support its growth and expansion throughout the country.

Additionally, Mr. As’ad serves as a Board Member of the Commercial Real Estate Investment Company, among other roles.
